Question about subaru

i know NS rides subaru's dick would you guys buy a subaru with over 100,000- 120,000 miles on it. Looking at a new car found some wrx's in my price range with that price as well as a bunch of other models that i woudl consider. Just wondering what NS's opinion on this was.

all the new subaru's are great. the wxr with its AWD is a great feature for the snow and wherever the fuck else we want to go. The Sti is pretty ill. fast car. factory turbo. might kill your gas mileage a little bit if you like to stay in turbo. Im more for honda and i know im gonna hear the hate about it but i do like subaru's as well. Finding a wrx is prob your best bet. fun car without kids like me in their turboed hondas trying to run you all the time

just get a legacy or outback in that price range. you would get a much better in shape car for that money than you would a wrx. because with a wrx youre paying for performance more than how well it is maintained. but with that said subarus generally last a long time. my last subaru made it to 275,000 miles only to be killed by the blower motor stop working in the middle of winter making driving very dangerous. but my current subaru is close to 180,000 and still drives and looks great.

Agreed, look for a Legacy. I have a 97 Legacy that I bought right after I got my license at 152,000 miles, and I'm about to be a junior in college and I still have it. It's at roughly 211,000 now and showing no signs of stopping anytime soon - so a used suby with 100k should be no big deal!

it all goes as planned im getting an 03 outback with 123k today or  tommorow!!!!!!!!!! my dad had a subaru impreza back when i was a kid the thing lasted 325k it only died when he got hit by a semi.

i had a subaru outback '03, it had 120,000 miles on it when i bought it and it had it's problems, but it was a convenient car and i'm looking at buying another

100 thousand miles is alot of kilometersif ur gunna go that high you mayswell hit rock bottom price aswell you can get 500 dollar cars witht hat kinda mileage

I'm sorry, but I just wanted to comment on the incoherent stupidity of this post.

"wherever the fuck else we want to go" . that's what cars are for. regardless of whether or not they're awd. wheels = going places

noooo shit the sti has a "factory turbo". so does the wrx. factory turbos are "pretty ill", and are crafted from unicorn tears and narwal tusks.

"stay in turbo" this isn't vtec. the narwal turbo is always "in". relative boost levels aren't.

howabout just....not trying to run people in your turbo'd civics? save it for the track.

i think that subarus are capable of getting to 300,000

im turing 16 in like three months and looking at 98-02 legacy gt's so most are pretty high miles but its not really a turn off

anybody want  to argue against me? or convince me otherwise?

turbo's in higher mileage cars are sometimes an issue. As much as i love the legacy gt i wouldnt buy one with too many miles on it. If you can find a legacy with the 2.2 L engine and around 100,000 ish miles you would love it. i had the legacy station wagon with the 2.2 and manual transmission and i got around 30 mpg normally. the thing was also a beast in the snow. I would take it over my automatic forester that i have now.
