"Wrong Tape Format" help please!!!!!

I really wanted to start rollin with this editing, but of course our HV30 currently is not working, so i can't upload the footage. So I borrowed my friend's PV-GS320 cam because none of my friends have an hv30. i put my sony hdv/dv tape in his cam and nothing will play back, because it says "wrong tape format".

BTW, I filmed in HDV 30p this year.

Any way around this?

but i'm still wondering if there's a way to capture the footy with adobe premiere pro. assuming i'm out of luck i guess?

You're trying to import HDV tapes using a DV camera, you need an HDV camera to import shots from a HDV tape.

but adobe premier pro is that good
you might aswell get after effects or sony vegas nine
honest, easiest hd use and it actually supporst virtually every video format ever
