List of usernames that are reps for companies

is there a way to find out if someone on here is a rep or affiliated with a specific company?
for example, i am trying to get a hold of someone at skullcandy (tried the website and all reccomended forms of contact there with no luck), and when i search the member list for the username "skullcandy," it is some dude in england with no posts, obviously not affiliated with the company in PC.
i don't want post up a thread asking for the info or talking about my issue to get them to notice because i think it's bad form and don't want to call them out until i see what they have to say to me one on one.
i guess what im asking is whether or not there is a list of the orange named people and their company affiliations.
i would imagine the reason for being orange is to stand out and be able to be approached for questions or help with your product, no?

We ask orange names to put it in their profile, but would it be more useful if that was in their signature on every post?

That would help, but I think a list you could scan by company would be infinitely better.
I think NS can sometimes be underutilized as a resource for customers of the companies that have a presence on the site. Most of the companies with a presence on here have done pretty well using the site as a promotional tool for their core customer base. It would be good to see that become more of a 2-way street.
I know many reps have stepped into threads on their product and provided help (bc.com is one I can think of off of the top of my head, line is another, not to mention guys like ON3P or other distinctly “ns companies”) but what about those companies who have a less than obvious presence?
In my situation, I need to talk to someone at Skullcandy about an issue. I don’t want to make an “issues” thread outlining my problem because I don’t feel that is a fair thing to do to the company. I hesitated even making this one, but I saw a potential need I wanted to find out more about being addressed.
If I were able to simply go to some sort of a “company rep list” on here and find the skullcandy rep, I could shoot him or her a pm instead of submitting an email to the generic form on their website.
If this were a quick and easy way to get any kind of response to my questions (for any company) I would be much more likely to keep purchasing said company’s products.
I feel that some companies that are more than happy to help out with issues are missing out on using NS as a resource to put their customer service team in touch with a customer who needs service, simply because they are tough to find on the site if you don’t already know who they are.
I realize there is the potential for misuse and spamming of “sponsor me” videos, but I feel that if the companies are able to recognize NS for such great promotional value, the should recognize the potential for customer service opportunities as well.
Fostering good relations through good customer service to the trendmakers in your core demographic is never a bad thing for a company, and customer service will go a long way into getting not only return business but word of mouth interest.
Just a thought...

It's a really good point - kinda like having an area of the site with NS' partners/friends (all the companies we work with) and then having the best point of contact/username within that area

this would be really handy. i have had questions like this before that i would like to direct towards a rep. but if the rep info is in their profile it does no good if you don't know the reps account in the first place. some are easy and are the company name yet others have nothing to do with the company name and i can't figure out who they are affiliated with.

The best way to get help from a rep on here is to simply post a thread with your question, you would be surprised how often these guys cruise around the forums. There is a good chance you are not the only one with questions, and your thread ends up being helpful for others as well.
The problem with making a list is that the person who's name is Orange for a company, is possibly not the person you are looking for. Many of the Orange names are either athletes or marketing people who can do a great job giving advice on products, but have nothing to do with technical and warranty stuff. Also take into account Canada vs US vs Europe etc etc all have different reps for the larger companies.
Speaking of warranty, 99% of the time, with the exception of smaller companies who sell exclusively online, you have to handle warranty problems through the retailer you purchased from. Contacting one of their riders on here doesn't do much, since they aren't allowed to give out direct contact information either quite often.
We do encourage companies on here to incorporate the company name into their Orange member name to be easier to find, but it is not a requirement. Some companies though opt to fly a little lower under the radar to avoid the constant messaging of sponsor requests and people wanting free stickers.

the amount of sponser me videos that would get sent to every company would go up 10X if it was that easy to locate the reps

Yes that might be a problem.
But I liked the idea in general

I'm sponsored by SKDY and go to their office once a week. I can ask a rep directly. Is there anything in specific that you want to ask them?
All times are Eastern (-5)
