It was the last day (or one of the last days) and they were shooting and Hoot was getting a ride up to the top of the park by a cat and he lost his footing, fell off, and got partially dragged under the cat and later died of internal bleeding.

RIP Hoot...

I believe he was riding on the back of a groomer, fell off and got caught in the treads. RIP
