Bending Bindings??

Okay guys, this is my question about bending bindings, how much is the most you can bend a brake?(without loosing the perfomance of the binding).
I read a question in backcountry.com about the Marker Jester Schizo brakes, and some backountry employee said that the most you can bend a brake is 5 - 8 mm  no further than that.
And my other question, Im thinking about buying the fks 14, with 115mm brakes, but I want them for an Amplid Choleterone RC ski , the waist  is 128 mmm, so you think its possible to bend the brake from 115 to 128 mm without loosing the perfomance of the fks???.

If you're getting FKS I say get the 90mm ones and bend those. Less chance of breaking them if the new bend is further away from the old bend.

115 to 128 is perfectly fine. for a while now people have been bending the old fks brakes(80mm) into the 120mm range without an issue. the only problem you may encounter is with some shops, where the techs wont make that big a bend because it increases the risk of snapping it, forcing them to buy you new brakes, or shortening the length it can drag into the snow

ahah, kk dude, i was sure it was pretty fine to bend from 115 to 128, now look at this videos, it is possible to do this??, either, you think i can try it??, there are just 1,3 cms of difference so i think it is better than doing all the instructions from the bending bindings thread

marshel's method only works with salomons, if you try it with fks you will fuck them up quite a bit. there is a sticky(where this should have been asked in the first place) with a video in the OP explaining bending fks, but chances are that if you didnt know about bending to begin with, you shouldnt try to work on your bindings your self

I have seen that thread , thats why I said "i think it is better than doing all the instructions from the bending bindings thread", i was referring to the sticy thread, however, do you think that fks can be bend a bit just with strenght??, im thinking about just bending 0,7 cms on each brake side, i dont think that i need all the work form the sticky thread to bend 0,7 cms, what do you say?.

i have the skinny sally brakes (78mm?) on some 136mm waisted praxis. 
and i had the fks skinny brakes bent for args.

Except the only problem is everyone is bending the old brakes which were make with a different material which was much more malleable. Any new brakes are extremely hard to bend so I would have a shop do it.

i bent my 80mm fks to 135mm. the only thing you loose the farther you bend a brake is the length of the brake so it doesnt dig into the snow as much which means it wont stop as effectively. it shouldnt effect the bindings performance in terms of release but will effect the skis ability to stop in the event of a release. it really isnt that big of a deal. and on skis that fat it seems like youll be skiing pow mostly with them and brakes dont do anything in pow anyways.
