setting up a webserver

theres a few programs you'll need. I think it's sorta complicated. I want to do it too but I don't know if it's worth the effort.

reistering domain, yes. as for apache, that is a program you can use, no idea beyond that. I never bothered to look into making one.

sorry, half my post got deleted.

You will need to download the latest version of apache, and PHP as well, and I would suggest doing it with linux, you will save yourself a LOT of time and frustration.

You dont need to pay for anything as long as you're fine typing in your IP as the URL. Or, you can get a free domain from one of the many places (.tk, .co.nr, etc) and use that.

Remember that with a cable or DSL connection, upload speeds are usually only 128lps, so dont plan on hosting anythign big or having a lot of people download at once.

Theres a good article here on how to do it under linux. I highly suggest staying away from windows, but it can be done, search for more info on it

yes, youll just have to deal with it or pay for a static IP, its not that much I dont think

use iis to host, its the easiest to setup

for static ip use something like no-ip.com
