Receiver gloves

any football players in here? receivers/runninbacks or whatever where you need to catch a fuckin ball. did some research but some opinions wont hurt

cutters, nikes, under armour, reebok, any opinions.

cutters grip like no fucking other when there dry, but slippery as hell when wet. i also had a pair of nike treadlock vapors that performed very well in both wet and dry conditions.

I got cutter lineman gloves, even though I'm a DB, they're awesome for regular weather, but are slippery when wet.
But the lineman gloves are sweet, they have grip on fingers and palm. And fingers are impossible to bend back so it protects helps a lot, my finger fracture probly woulda been a lot worse without em

i have the nike Dtack demolition or something like that, i like them for LB. They lasted through one season pretty well and they have a little padding in important spots.


And in general it's either nike or cutters IMO

havent played for two years but i had nfl reebok ones and they worked great. also borrowed some cutters a few times and those things were crazy grippy

i played with both cutters and reebok and heres the deal

reebok= very good grip when new , aint very durable

cutters= good grip, last longer

i used Adidas , Nike, Reebok, and Cutters throughout HS, and Reebok is hands down the best. The reason they satnd out to me, is the fact they have multiple layers on the palm; they're not smooth like cutters or other brands. and thats waht gives you more grip. the skin on the palms of your hands have contours(finger prints), and thats what increases you grip. footballs have a pebbled surface, so what is going to grip that better , smooth or rough. same with car tires slick dont grab gravel and rough pavement as well as heavy treads with lots of siping.

Dont get underarmor ones unless you want to replace them in two weeks,

I use reeboks. the high end 60? dollar ones and they last the longest/ catch better than any others. Nike ones are getting shittier and shittier every year. No idea what cutters are. Just make sure you go to a store and try them on first, not just order online

All the receivers I knew in high school used Cutters... even us tight ends and a lot of the linemen used their linemen gloves.

in practice dont use any gloves, but for games use nike vapors. thats what i did last season and had like 3 or 4 100+ yard games. helps alot.

ya dont use your gloves during pratice, i learned that the hard way, i used up 3 pairs of gloves last year. use them only during games, makes it easier.

i absolutely loved my nike gloves last year, they worked great dry and even worked well when wet, just rub them on ur pants right b4 a play when wet

I have clearly stated why cutters are not the best earlier in the thread. cutters grip like no other when dry, much more than any other glove for sure, but theyre slippery as hell when they get wet. I much prefer the nike treadlock vapor, they have the canneling system that channels water off the tack surface, so they are exceptional in all conditions.

The two best receivers on my team never used gloves. They only taped up their fingers a little and that was it.

Even mid game, you can just spit on them and they get super grippy. Thats what I do everytime theres a passing play.

high school rules state that if fingers are taped then there must be at least 2 taped together. idk if that's for real, but i tried that a few games last year and no dice
