Replying to Bitchy teachers

We all have bitchy teachers, but my bio teacher this year is becoming almost unbearable.
She is a middle school teacher teaching a 10th grade class.

After getting kicked out of class a few days early in the year i wrote a pretty bitchy, but well worded email, after that she seemed to figure out that i meant business, and she left me alone until 2nd semester.
Long story short, it's bad. I am now in the process of writing a letter to the principal and the head of the science department.

So i'll start the rest of my my wordwall here, if you don't want to read it, discuss bitchy teachers below

Dear Mr. Braney and whomever else it may concern.
This letter is being written on the behalf of the tenth grade biology students of Mrs. Thompson-Schafer. We feel as if it is in your best interest to share our experience with Mrs. Shafer and her Biology class. The issues that will be addressed are in no way meant to be an attack on Mrs. Shafer as a person, or as a teacher, but merely to provide an honest opinion on the way the class operates, and issues that have been encountered, from the point of view of the students.
The first and most fundamental issue is that of respect. It is not our position that it is acceptable to disrespect a teacher, but that a teacher still needs to gain the respect of the students, not just rely on the respect gained in the nature of the position. No matter the position of either party, respect is a reciprocal commodity. We believe the root of this issue is the level at which Mrs. Schafer has taught. Coming from a background in Middle School the nature of Mrs. Schafer’s interactions with students are geared to less mature and younger students. The majority of us believe that the way that students are treated will be the way that the students will act; if we are treated as children we will act as children, treat us as adults we will behave more like adults. With this problem arising very early in the year it has lingered and become quite a substantial problem for the classes, especially as of late. With the lack of respect between both parties the ability of Mrs. Schafer to control the class has been effected negatively. Because respect is an issue students in some cases do not respond to Mrs. S due to the near removal of power of her position due to the interactions between her and the students. This issue is one that keeps building on itself; in order to keep control Mrs. Schafer has to keep resorting to harsher penalties and actions, which causes the students to have even more ill feelings towards Mrs. Schafer, in turn causing more conflicts and in cases disrespectful behavior. This cycle is one that has repeated itself many times throughout the year. This issue of respect is the root of most, if not all, of the behavioral problems with members in the class. At a certain point there is only so much the students can take in terms of discipline for actions large or small; in several classes there are students who have nearly reached and some that have pushed past that breaking point. That point is where the actions of discipline are greater than the acts of unacceptable behavior, such as tardies for having food.
It is true and fair that a teacher has power to discipline students and set the rules, and that a teacher should be able to hold students accountable for behaving and acting in line with these rules. However, the way that the students are held accountable should be even and apply in the same way to all students, regardless of any differences. This is another area in which some interactions with Mrs. Schafer have become less than ideal.
