So I may be taking a trip with a friend to beartooth pass June 7-15th to help him with measuring glaciers and studying snow depths....and also do some skiing. I have never been there before and have no idea what to expect conditions wise during this time of year. My friend has spent time working and skiing out there for a few years so he is familiar with the area, skiing and hanging out.
How is the snow pack holding up? will it be dangerous? I am a strong skier, but have very minimal mountaineering skills. I just want to know about safety mostly, but I know we wont be hiking or skiing any lines that are out of our ability really.
i may forget to check this, so if someone reads this and has some really important info that would be helpful or beneficial for me, maybe send me a message, i would really appreciate it.
