Vinyl cutting software

just wondering if anyone had some recommendations for viynl cutting software preferably free. We are looking to cut stickers and prints for tees, however i don't have much knowledge in the area so any help would be greatly appreciated

um don't you just need the proper printing apparatus and do your designs in photoshop/illustrator

i have no idea what i'm talking about but i think you should look for a plotter first. from there i would assume it's compatible with industry standard graphic design programs, if not out of the box, them with some plugins.

most people design in corel or illustrator and use different software to cut.

you can get a 30 day trial of sign go from their website and it's about 130 to buy.

I'd be interested to know what software other people use though. Dad has gerber software but its baisically limited to being run on one computer because they're so strict with their licensing. You have to have a security dongle plugged into the computer all the time, and it will only work in that specific machine.

got the cutter working after about half an hour using art cut and messing about to find which port it was plugged into, finally worked...

here's what we got done

I use Flexi Sign pro at school. it works well if you know how to use it

Im not a fan of illustrator or corel for cutters. We have to use corel on the laser cutter in the shop, but its a PITA to make multiples IMO. I use signcut and it was a bitch at first to learn coming from sign blazer, but now I love it.
