Question about Banshee Bungee

These things look sick for urban, backyard jumps, long boarding, etc. It just seems like there's so much you can do with them. Has anybody ever tried to substitute it for a drop in for summer jibbing? Like just lay out astroturf and set it up
Just wondering because I live at a lake house all summer, and want a summer set-up however if i built a drop in, I couldn't bring it back and forth from their and my home. Which would leave me nothing during spring and fall.

ive never used one, but i think it would either work great, or you would have no speed at all. really only one way to find out

I do own a banshee bungee and its pretty sweet.  I use it for skimboarding though and have used it skiing on snow.  In order to allow it to give you some decent speed for a rail you'd need a good distance. Atleast 50 feet because that is the distance it takes for it to even get tension.  So it would work, but with a shit ton of astroturf.

my friends set up actually has 3 of these so whenever you come back you pull one back with you, it works fairly well.

Set it up on a tree with a turf inrun and a jump into the lake! That would be such a sick setup.

We set up astroturf and towed in with a car. We had lots of speed but right when we let go of the rope we lost all of it and it work.

it will work but will be a pain in the ass to have to pull that back everytime. Also you could probably build two decent drop in ramps for the price of a bungee. They work great on snow but i wouldnt want to use one all summer

i used a 10 footer a lot this winter and I hated it...they're a bitch to pull back no matter how many people you have on it...I do not feel they are even close to drop ramps in terms of consistency, speed, direction, etc

can anyone give me a good reason to buy a banshee bungee rather than some bungee cords from the hardware store?

I used one quite a bit this season and I really like them. I agree with Matt though, they are not that consistent with speed....the bungee warms up, stretches out with each pull, but at the same time they are fucking awesome. It allowed us to do some stuff in Reno that was never possible due to speed issues.

As far as for a summer set up we were going to try it this summer but I wouldnt want to keep pulling that thing back every time. If I were going to do a summer set up I would for sure do a drop in ramp.

you really need a 20 foot. i got a 10 and its ok but doesnt have enough time to build real speed. if you already have a 10, id sudgest buying a 20 w/o the handle and stuff and add it on
