03/04 vs. 04/05 motherships.

Ok I know I’m going to get the LINE motherships for next season. But I can’t decide if I should just get this years model. Or wait and get the flites beginning of next season. Pros and cons are:
03/04: only $349, and they are a super nice powder ski or……
04/05 Flite: well over $700, but super light, and thicker edges.
So is the extra 350 worth a ski that’s lighter and with thicker edges or should I just go with last years due to the good price on them.

man save the 350 for sure. you'll get a warrenty too, so if you break em, they'll have to send you new ones.

Yeah... I'd probaby go with the cheaper ones, too. Hell, you could buy two pair of the old ones instead of one of the new. I don't think there's THAT much difference between them to justify spending twice as much.

i would go with the older ones. 350 is alot of $$, you could put the money towards any other ski gear u might need.

if the ski is to light it wont ski very good, i cant picture a mothership that weighs as much as a 1260 being very good in any condition besides super dry powder, get the old ones

i dunno about those reactor bindings, if they didn't have that plate on the bottom that raises it off the ski... and it was just the actually binding i would get it. but i like being close to the ski as possible, and weight wise. But i have NEVER tried them. but based on what i have heard and seen, i most likely would not buy them due to that plate. i would go with s912-s914ti's or look/rossi p12 or 14's. I have been pretty happy with my salmon ti bindings all these years, but my next pair im gonna throw on some p12 prolly cause i have heard good things, an dhaven;t given them a chance yet.
Or put the money towards new boots!
R u getting the 182 mo ships?

Hey Kev, how about you buy a pair of next year's Reactor 12 binding, and then I ship you my S912 Ti binding and $50, with you sending me the Reactor 12s in exchange. It sounds like a wicked deal to me, and my 912s are almost brand new. Why get rid of them, you ask? Because they don't release when you case step ups and then ruin your ACL. Fantastic. But if you like them, you can have mine AND $50 cash(canadian), in exchange for some Reactor 12s.
As for the motherships, I'm a big fan of buying skis that are one season old so you get a massive discount. I say get the old ones.
