good point, rt.7 is the slums. I grew up there until I was 9 until I moved to Brattleboro and I definitely didn't leave in the shittiest of areas but I remember it being pretty hairy all around. I went back recently to visit some friends and it wasn't as bad as I thougth it'd be but I wasn't as comfortable as I wanted to be while I was out.
Killington is pretty dope. Huge mountain, decent parks and the best night life I've experienced as far as "on mountain" goes. you definitely have to try and live within 10 minutes of the mountain if you want some fresh stuff in the morning without having to wake up at the crack ass of dawn...and you won't have to drive far to go home after you have a rough night.
I have a love for Burlington that will never die though, I spent 2 summers there living with friends on Isham street and I absolutley loved it. If you're of age you can't beat Burlington for the night life, concerts and the breweries aroudn there. The food is bomb too and Church Street is my first stop when I get into town for a quick bite.
