So I was just cursing the pages of Autoblog, and I came across this:



This has be the most pathetic comparison between two cars I have ever seen, and not just for the obvious reasons. OF course the Lamborghini is going to have wider turning radius, ITS ALL WHEEL DRIVE!! And the mirror thing, really? They are seriously trying to make the Fiesta better than the Lambo because it has mirror indicators? Really dumb to me, and “how does all my stuff fit in here?” BITCH ITS IN FRONT!!!

So yeah, there is my two cents, I honsetly like the fiesta (atleast the UK verison) but comparing to a $250,000 sports car, even in a joking manor is really stupid, and pathetic on fords behave. I know Ford was really hesitant at making a US verison of the Fiesta (frankly all they did was ruin it) but doing this almost insults Fords reputation (whats left of it).

Yes sir, i am a aware of that im just pointing out, that with the economic crash, this is how desperate some people are getting, and with regards to their "image" i mentioned, i was speaking from personal experience with ford and my general prejudice against them, which is unfair, but still that commercial has better be a joke, because ford is now in negative points in my book.

still this commercial sucks. as does every mainstream compact ford production car in my opinion.

their pick ups are stellar, the svt raptor is bomb, but god damn do i hate that little fiesta.

The only problem my family has ever had with Ford is some of the idiots in their maintenance department (not screwing an oil filter on tight enough)

Well i guess its fair to say that some fords have been okay in terms of reliability but my 99 expidition has really not been that strong, right now, it has :

Terrible knocking

Electronic gremlins everywhere

The air suspension has a mind of its own

And some fuel filter needs to be replaced, but to get to the filter THE TANKS NEEDS TO BE REOMVED, now im no expert but shouldn't things like filter or things that will be needed to be replaced, be in easy to reach area's, not just for the Do it yourselfer's like me, but for Fords mechanics as well?

But my problem is i really dont like From my own experiences with my car, but almost every car they make is REALLY LAME, yes they mustang is cool, but only if you get a tuned verison (not shelby) the flex is practical but looks like a modern redition of a woody wagon. The focus is boring (nothing special about it, no unique features, no good looks, no performance) The only cars i like are the new raptors (Mr. Panda, have you seen this? http://www.autoblog.com/2010/05/14/ford-confirmes-raptor-supercrew-only-available-with-6-2-liter-v/ THAT WILL BE SICK!!, One of my neighbors has a raptor, ITS A FUCKIN' BEAST!!) and the GTX1, but technically speaking ford didn't really make it, i mean lotus made the chasis, the steering is from the old vanquish, and the wheels are german, the brakes are itialian, and the transmisson AND the body is british, So technically ford had nothing to do with it, other than take their logo and slap it all over the place.

So yeah, im bias

True, im a little stupid, and i suck at picking up sarcasm, but it seemed a little to "offical" to be a fake, i mean, from the editing, to the "actress" (if she is really a real actress, i have no idea) but some amount of money went into this, which made me think that whoever made this has no sense of humor, and really deep pockets or ford, which is kinda one in the same when you think about it.

My dad's 1996 F350 Powerstroke has had no problems minus having to replace it's belts for wear and tear and my 1984 Bronco I is still going strong. Depends really on the people that work on your car.

Me, but only for basic things, like oil, and cleaning it, everything else is done by a mechanic, but its not our machanic, is just shit breaking, i know buddies who have take their cars in with problems, then it comes out, with another problem, completely un related to the original problem.

But i was sayin, Ford had its good times and bad times, like many companies, the older stuff like you're bronco, i think im right in saying is a good example of what ford can do, and i dont really take into account any of the F-series because one: they have always been great trucks, and if you complain about them being a shitty truck after owning one, you clearly did something wrong, and two, its pretty hard to fuck up a truck.

i like ford. ill probably buy one one day because i believe in driving american. i just won't buy anything from gm and chrysler because i think their crooks. chrysler is privately owned, but wanted to socialize their losses, while the gov't bailed out gm for 40 billion. buying about 70 percent of the company. fact is gm only has 70 something million shares, so that would mean we paid over 100 dollars for each share. a value that gm will never return too. so when you see that commercial on tv saying how gm has paid back its gov't debt in full, its really a bunch of bull shit and they paid us back with out own tax dollars.

This, I hate changing the oil in my expedition, there's no way to remove the filter without turing it sideways and spilling oil. thanks idiots.

When you work on a car you should expect to get dirty you silly child. My Bronco's oil filter is not only sideways but practically right against the frame. It takes two people to change the damn thing. And don't do it after just turning the engine off... I got burned from the damn frame not the filter.

BMWs and Mercedes suck much more though in my opinion. You have to take apart like half the engine compartment to get at them if you don't have a pit to work out of.

My friend used to change at an oil change place and I would work there on weekends. For some reason at the end of the day I was lazy and didn't want to walk into the pit to try and change the filter... Laziness was not the better course to choose.

the lambo being there was basically just a prop. it served only as an excuse to showcase some of the features of the fiesta. the people who wrote that didnt honestly believe that the the fiesta is in any way better than the Lamborghini.

Lets not forget audis haha i brought mine in for a $20 oil change Turns out its $20 for regular cars and its such a bitch on an audi or any german car that they can charge roughly $90 now i do it myself unless i need other work done at the same time
