Replying to January 2011 jobs/internships?

ski_DC:
Newschoolers, I have a question for you. I go to Colby College in Maine and will be a sophomore this year. At Colby we have a program called JanPlan, which is a separate semester in the month of January. The point of janplan is to do something interesting, something you might not otherwise do or be able to. Students take 1 class the whole month, or they can get credit doing an internship or job, or even something like making a video or traveling and keeping a blog/journal.

This january, I want to get out west and ski for a month, perhaps with a few friends. I need to be somewhere with cheap housing, or employee housing, if i get a mountain job. I basically have narrowed it down to summit county, tahoe somewhere, PC, jackson (longshot) or maybe mammoth. I want a mountain with some REAL skiing on REAL mountains, and what not, but also want a sweet park, and somewhere with some fun stuff to do off hill.

I want to lock down an internship/job as soon as I can. I am an english major, so anything that has to do with writing would be awesome. I'd work park crew for sure too, or even work as a lifty, if my school would accept that as credit.

Sparknotes: Need a job/internship in january at a good resort out west, need suggestions. Thanks!
