THE NOSE IS DAMAGED:
The second time skiing on these I was doing a one footer and my right nose rammed into the support of a box. I skied the rest of the day without noticing the splitting apart of my nose. After sending them into armada they told me that my base is most likely cracked. However the alpha 1's have early rise, so even though the damaged nose is slightly more raised up than the other nose, you cannot tell the difference. I skied about a quarter of a season on them and no more damage was done. One thing notable is that the base has raised above the edge a millimeter or two, so on the spot just before the tip rises, the base is not exactly level. But it does not effect the performance of the ski. As long as you aren't doing hard nollies/butters THE PERFORMANCE IS NOT AFFECTED!
Bases:
The alpha 1's have a extruded race base. This makes the skis super fast (as long as you wax them). I waxed these skis after almost every time using them. They are pristine. The scratches you see in the pictures are very minor and look exaggerated from the lighting. NO CORE SHOTS! NO EDGE CRACKS!
Topsheets:
I'm not going to bullshit you, the top-sheets are thrashed. They are pretty scratched up, but its only the appearance that is altered
