I pods worth it?

I've noticed alot of these at my ski mountain lately and wondered if there worth gettting? Like how exactly do they work and how exactly to u put songs on them and stuff? how much? I have windows 98 if it matters...

my friend has one and he hasn't had any problems with battery life in the cold. I really want one. the dell, the iRiver, the gateway, might be better deals but they still just arent as cool as the iPod.

1. battery isn't bad but def could be better
2. bombproof my ass. i fell landing and i broke the hd so i had to get a new one. buy an ipod case. apple has em for 20 or you can buy ipod armour
3. a hundred million times better than my old creative mp3 player or sony md

no, ipods are not worth it. save the money and buy food or skis. you can't eat or ski on an ipod.

huh..ipods must be somewhat tasy if you boil them.Or maybe try to fry one.
And you CAN ski on them,just tape it under your boot.
