that the horse piss the hipsters drink? Once again hipsters taking everything that sucks and trying to make it cool in their little circle. Silly faggots
i went to a bar/venue last night and the best deal they had on beer was 24 oz. cans of pbr for $4. i drank four of those damn cans of piss water before i forced myself to switch to bud light. Pabst made bud light taste like the sweet barley nectar.
I usually just go with keystone. They go down quick, and their cheap. When I run across a gas station that has pbr I'll buy them from time to time since nobody around here sells them.
Worst beers would be beast, steel reserve, natty, busch.
I actually love Bud. We don't have too many sweet, fruity lagers over here, with the exception of Grolsch.
Bud was £1 (about 50 cents US) a bottle on the night of the US presidential election count. Sitting in the Students' Union, drinking that shit from 4pm until 4am like it was water was one of the best/worst nights ever. I was tasting it for weeks.
^QFT!!!. Sierra Nevada is the bomb. Also, you should try some of the Mammoth Brewery Co. beers. They are pretty fucking tasty as well, and there is quite a varity of choices to choose from.
If I am buying an American beer it is this (if I can afford it that is):
SSSSOOOOOOO Good with steaks.
If I am strapped for money... well, Miller is now owned by a company in South Africa and Budweiser is now owned by a company in Belgium.... ssssooooo, what cheap beers are still owned and made in the States?
I agree. Drinking PBR is kinda like "paying your dues" as a skier. Yeah, its gross as fuck, but you suck it up, because after so much PBR, you can buy another lift ticket or two with the money you've saved
That said, when I'm not paying for it, Guiness is the shit
worst tasting beer i've ever had. by far. but i hear they revamped the ingredients or some shit. still, i'll never try it again after having to drink it at parties. wanted to die.
PBR is nice and cheap and comes in cans, much like yuengling which is brewed right here in PA. These are my go to beers for getting a little shitty. 30 of pbr fuels my fishing, boating, or other outdoor activities for less than 20 bucks.
I love good beer and support microbrews probably more than the average beer drinker. Just understand that I may go fishing or kayaking or play volleyball several times a week and usually consume anywhere from 2-6 beers on each outing. It's just not economical to be buying pricey cases or even 6 packs of good beer for this.
I've got good beer in the fridge don't get me wrong, and it tastes great while relaxing and eating a good meal or watching the flyers woop the shit out of montreal. For my activity beers though I don't mind drinking the cheap stuff cause I go through it like water.
dont get all the hate on PBR. its cheap, tastes good.
obviously its not a craft beer or an import but it also doest cost 10 bucks for a 6 pack.
that said i barely ever drink PBR now im back on the east coast because yuengling is much better in my opinion.
The only reason I buy pabst over yuengling sometimes is because i can get 30 cans for the price of 24 yuengling cans. I'd agree though yuengling has a better taste for sure. Cans are super important as I won't take glass on the river, and you can crush em so they don't take up any room in the boat when your done. (my kayak is f-in small I need all the room I can get)
