so i injured my knee this year, and was looking at getting some knee braces for next year. im just wondering if anyone has the asterisk cell braces skiing, and if they interfere at all with ski boots i couldn't tell from there site how far down they would come? does anyone have experience with these or any suggestions on other or better brands of braces for skiing? thanks for any help.
ive had 2 acl replacements now, on the first i got a donjoy defiance and plan on getting the same thing when the time comes for my second one. I cant talk personally about that brace but i havnt heard great things. CTI and Donjoy are the two best on the market

asticks is good for if your looking for a mid range non custom brace. However if you tore your acl or minisucs and got surgery go for don joy custom. if you dont have insurance there around 1500 but they are built to fit your leg specifically. I got mine built sized for winter time when my legs grow from all that shredding and hiking the ridge and bridger.
right on thanks, i tore my meniscus and my doctor told me that i dont need surgery just physical therapy it seems to be working but i really want to prevent any further injury to my knee, did you go somewhere in bozeman to get yours?
the choice is obvious, i have a set of asterisks. i can say that for inbounds skiing they are an incredible addition to my quiver. they help me to ski much more powerfully. i use them on days when my knee aches. i would never use one, the pair really helps power transfer. u ski like superman even with a hurt knee.
they are totally adjustable to fit quads and calves and lock out hyper extension. im no doctor, but ive known a few people who wear them after surguries alot more than their don joy brace.
if you get them get the pair, then tell me that a don joy is better.
