Skate 3 party play?

On skate 3 is it possible to play skate battles like in skate 2? I can't figure out how from the start button menu and there is no menu at the beginning.

Like on the same console? you can't. But you can play multiplayer online ... it's suck.

im talking like the same consile offline...just spot battle against other pople on the same xbox. like in skate 2

Nope...I think it is fucking gay but w/e it is still a sick game.

I think they tried way to hard to force you to play online.
