Hood living...

Im planning on heading out to hood June 4th and I have never done this trip before and I am 17, planning on doing it by myself and I still need to get a couch/floor/closet/bed lined up. I have talked to a few kids but nothing is for sure. soooo if anyone has any info on housing already that would be sick. Any other tips on how to survive this summer would be awesome as well. I cant wait to shred it up and chill in govy. seems like a great time....

you should be fine.

post a thread in OR regionals looking for a place for cheap. how long are you gonna be there? if you plan on staying for an extended period of time do you have a job lined up?

I've got the same problem... also talked to some people, but nothing is for sure. I'm goin' there 6th july till 11 august.

The Summits are probably your best bet if you're willing to do whatever to live out there and you don't have any roommates.

and someone already hinted at this, but as far as your transportation problem goes, hitchhiking is actually a pretty viable way to get up to the mountain... I'd say take public transit from the airport all the way to Gresham or Sandy, and then just thumb it the rest of the way. 

If you look like you're on a snow-related mission someone will pick you up.

camp. getting laid may be a problem, but camping is free and is the best way to get the total bumm expirience

like i said earlier, i would camp but my dad REFUSES to let me and bc I am 17 I unfortunately have to go with what he says and honestly I am already surprised/very stoked that he is letting me do this trip alone and shit so if anyone has ideas for a place to stay, and all the advice is good! keep it coming
