Canada Season 10/11 which resort?

hello. So me and a couple of friends are planning to spend the season in Canada the season 10/11. We live in sweden so this is going to be an awesome trip! anyway we cant decide what resort we wanna visit, and such. We been looking at Redmountain, Whistler and revelstoke (this place seems awesome but it doesnt have a park does it?)

We are looking for mostly pow but it would be nice to have a good park to ski whenever the snow is shit/waiting for some fresh pow.

I ski like 60%pow and 40% park. I dont need a massive mammoth park, aslong as i has decent rails and jumps.

Please reply with where you think we should go!

Revelstoke has zero park. But it does have a shit ton of terrain and endless possibilities in the backcountry. You do have to traverse quite a bit and hike around, but its really easy to meet people that can show you where the sick shit is. This season was a horrible snow year for revy, but it was still easily the best season I've had.

whistler is the best if you can afford it, staff housing is cheap I believe. Heard no bad things about revvy its dope for sure. You could also try something like Big White which has a good park and overall pretty good terrain.

Thanks for all the advices, gonna look into all the resorts for sure.  Revelstoke looks like a sick place but i want a park for the days when u cant ride pow, u get so easily boored. And how is the job opportunities in Whistler?  alot of part time jobs?

Im trying to decide where in BC to go as well for next season, from riding out west last winterI can say revy has some insane backcountry. To me park doesnt matter too much cause im fine with building a booter in the bc. But yeah out of those options id say revy. Whistler is just maaad money.

If anyone's worked Big White before I wouldn't mind hearing about it. I'm heading to Vancouver in July to work for a few months, then heading on into the interior. I've done two seasons before at Panorama in BC, but it's time for a resort which actually gets some decent snowfall. I'm pretty keen on park skiing too (although I suck), so it'd be nice to have one of those. Revy just needs to build a basic park setup and it'd be money.

Just checked out Big whites website and it seems fucking sick. Any1 whos actually been there that could tell me a little more? Hows the park, rails , jumps etc. Hows the powww, u have to hike alot to find untouched snooow.

I was trying to decide between Big White and Bear Mtn. I saw an edit from Big White, and some of their big features look fucking huge.

Revy = Best powder in interior BC and not remotely as crowded compared to whistler. Sick backcountry if your into the whole "earn your turns" thing.

Whistler= Best ski resort on earth.

BIG WHITEEE! isnt as bad as alot of people on this site like to make it seem! very well rounded mountain it has a little bit of everything like someone said earlier. i believe its the second biggest resort in BC besides Whistler Blackcomb (not positive though) Really great park, probly the best maintained in BC(most park staff than anywhere) jumps improved alot this year, for the first time i actually enjoyed hitting them and got to sizes of 65 at max. good selection of rails too that are always perfectly maintained.
Not the most amazing resort ever for powder but it does have its stashes! its all about timing and knowing locations and you can honestly get some really bomb pow at big white. But for steeper terrain, Silver Star is only an hour or so from kelowna and has really nice steep skiing on the backside aswell as a great park.
Consider comign to Kelowna and big white cause its pretty much the best place to be around here for fun besides Whistler/Vancouver. If you have anymore questions feel free to Pm me.

Go to the interior of BC. Red Mountain and R are great choices. With a possible -PDO, a La Nina and more, things are looking up for the entire PNW next year.

Go to fucking whistler or revelstoke.

Actually, just go straight to revelstoke. No park? Who the fuck cares? They get ridiculous snowfall, build booters if you need to. One of the most legendary places to ride in Canada. If somebody said I could spend next season there, I would go for it in a second. Not even a question.

If you really want a park, go to whistler. But revelstoke is an epic, epic mountain. Crazy terrain, huge snowfall, one of the largest resorts in canada.

i would go for whistler cause its near vancouver (awesome city) and has great skiing all year round and if you get tired of it you can go for  a little drive (about 2hrs) and ski Cypress, grouse or seymour. Problem is its expensive. I would also look into whitewater. my moms side of the family used to live there and ski everyday almost. it has awesome snow and it has a park to. Sun peaks in kamloops is nice too. and big white in kelowna.

I'd reccomend Whistler because the skiing is limitless, there is so much to ski. It has two parks and the village is so much fun and there is always lots going on. Vancouver is awesome as well and you can go ski Grouse, Seymour and Cypress as well.

I would recomend white water resort. you would have to stay in nelson if you were going to ski there next season though but in future seasons the Resort owers are looking into makeing the base of the mountian a small village. The snow that they have there is phenominal and the people there are great. World class cooking in ther lodge. And lso much Slackcountry terrain it is a excellent place to go to. If i were you i would go and ski whiteater for the season even through the runs are a bit short you will have the best skiing of your life there almost gaurnted,

Looking at an answer for this aswell but from a differnet viewpoint. Which resort will be the easiest to get a job at or near and will cost the least to live in? Obviously Whistler  would have higher payed jobs because its touristy but is it more expensive to live there?

You can ski lift accessed 8 months of the year in Whis, I'd say that's motivation enough to move there.

this and its huge, you get access to two giant mountains with amazing terain. They have everything from pillows to bowls to chutes to park and great snow (i skied a foot of fresh 3/4 days i was there and it had snowed every day for like a week before i got there) and they have great nightlife. Its expensive but if you can afford it then go for it!

whatever you end up doing, try and save some money for a monashee snowcat tour. best snow in BC you'll ever ski.
