Hey guys, just bought a pair of Line Blends yesterday and I have a few questions. Firstly, I am not sure which binding I should purchase. I was looking at a Marker Griffon with the Schizo plate, or possibly without. Anybody have other suggestions on a binding for this ski? Lastly,I feel that the mounting point on the ski is pretty far back, 87mm. I will be doing mostly freeride but I will be in the park atleast 2-3 runs a day on the hill. Any suggestions? Im considering the schizo because of the functionality. Thanks for the help
yep. you'll be stoked with any of those bindings. with blends, you don't want to mount them anywhere but -2 or -3 cm from dead center. i have done lots of experimenting and that is definitely the best spot.
Ha thanks for all the help guys. I live in BC. Ride Whistler, mostly all mountain, not terribly aggressive. Some park. Not the best description sorry. My buddy has a pair of rossi axial 2 140 Ti's he said he can sell me for 100, cheap binding, and i dont have a ton of cash, should i save up or is it worth it. Brand new never used
those axials should be fine. if you were paying retail, i'd definitely say go with one of the STH bindings or fks/pivot. but for what you described, and considering they're brand new and $100, those axials should be the ticket.
Don't get the PX12, if you are doing freeride, and you are anywhere over like 130 and aggressive, you need a 14 or 16. I recommend the Blends -2 or -3 if you really are straying away from park. They are great skis no matter where they are mounted.
False. I am 155 and ski aggressively and ski on sth 12's, px 12's, and griffons and I have no issues. I ride my din at a 7, and I still managed to blow out my knee from impact. I would never get a 16 din, there is no need for it unless you weigh over 175.
-do NOT get any sth binding with the shitty Z toe(12s/14s)
-do NOT waste your money on griffons/jesters, non durable pieces of shit with way to many releases
-deadbolts are just tyrolia, all their bindings are quite good
-fks are sex
