SFB question

i was originally thinking about getting onep jeronimos next year with a softer, custom flex. but i decided that i might want something fatter like next years bacons. i also do like 50% park, would it be a bad idea to get bacons? are they too big to ski park and hit rails? would it be better just to get this years without early rise? also do they do well in tight trees and bumps? and what size would be best for me (i am 5'9, 145lbs and growing). thanks ns

The SFB 172 next year is sick! You could ski this in tight trees and take it all over the mtn. even in the park, now it's not the most ideal park ski, but the more comfortable you get with it, take it anywhere.  I ski a 115mm under foot everyday and hit rails, take it into park, etc.. I'm not scared of fat skis everywhere and you shouldn't be either, SFB is an Awesome ski!

ok so i am pretty sure that i am getting bacons next year, i just need to know what size i should have my shop order for me. i am 5'9 145 and will probably get a little bigger in the next 2 seasons that i plan on using them. i am coming off of 161 park skis (but i usually demo/borrow from friends when i go on trips) so i have skied stuff in the 176 range. ive skied a 175 arv (so a long cambered ski) and a 176 alpha 2 (a rockered ski). the alpha felt like a really good length with the rocker, so i dont know whether to go up or down from that. i also plan on doing a bunch of park with these so maybe shorter is better.

sparknotes: what size. 172/182? 5'9 145 and growing, off of 161's, have skied 176 rockered and cambered, want to use in park.

182 if you like a 176 alpha the bacon has more rocker than the alpha so it will ski shorter.

alright yeah i think thats what i might do, you think ill still be able to handle them though in tight trees and bumps?
