Center mounting a non-symmetrical ski

Is centermounting a non-symmetrical going to pose any problems. I know that's not how they're supposed to be mounted so don't give me shit. What will be the drawbacks of centermounting non-symmetrical skis?

I 2nd this question. I'm putting schizos on my next pair of skis (either SFB, LIZZIES, OR EXTREMES) so they can rock pow, grooms and center for park. Im just curious how a directional ski will handle if center nounted!

1st guy - my skis arent symmetrical and i center mounted them. they work great in the park. go for it.
2nd guy - dont get those binders. i saw a kid rip out both his heel pieces because of a 270 off a 1 foot high black tube. dont get them. he told me he only had them 7 days as well.

The draw back is that they were designed to be mounted somewhere else, and therefore they ride better when not mounted at center.  I've had skis at -3, -2, -1, -2.5, -1.5, and center.  Honestly you can't really tell a difference in swing weight or anything like that.

this is true. i have had to remount my arv's twice since the original mountain and they have moved more towards center each time and are true center now. the only thing i notice is that when i wanna hammer a turn or am in the bumps, the tails catch, but that will happen with any center mounted ski.

Or if it is super slushy your inner edge is more prone to diving and catching.

However I centermount all of my park skis

its fine, it works best with park skis though.. if your skiing outside the park you would probably want to do -1 -2

I have my 09 EL Reys mounted -2, which is non semetrical ski and they wrok great for all mtn, as well as being aight in park.....but it also depends alot on what kind of ski your riding

you really won't notice that much of a difference. the only place it really will be different is when you are carving super hard and tight turns

If you are just doing park and they arnt symmetrical, mount them at the farthest mark forward. ie id they were S4's, mount them at +6. its not the center but its where rossignol wants them for park skiing. get what im saying?

in the park a centered non symetric ski is going to ride very similar to a centered symetrical so not noticeable

outside of the park a centered symetric ski is going to ski better than a centered non symetric ski

outside of the park a non symetric ski mounted back is going to ride superior to a centered symetric

best bet: mount 1 or 2 back if you are going to spend any substantial time outside the park

Depending on the flex in your skis, it shouldnt matter. As long as the flex is similar in the front and back.

Ya, I have s4s and I remeasured them to dead center, and i have no complaints. BUt when you go to your shop, tell them you want true center and not factory set center because it will A) True center and not the "center" the company marked. B) because it will make the shop work harder mesuring the correct mounting position.

Just go center. In my opinion, if you are going within 3 cm of center, just go all the way. 1 back, 2 back, 3 back, you won't notice a difference so just go all the way.

I can notice a difference, mostly because I like to ski center. I can notice my lizzies mounted at recommended (-2), and I prefer having equal swing weight.
