1260s vs. Fujatives - just for park

i need to make a decision pretty quick, cuz i can get good deals on either of these skis. i ride motherships and i like the flex but something just a little stiffer would be good. whichever one i get will be just for park. how do these skis compare as far as lightness, durability, pop, and just any general experience people have had with them. thanks! i really appreciate it.

i'd go with the 1260s - from what i've heard about the flex pattern on the peps, they wouldn't be too good for any big landings (unless you're like 130 lbs, in which case, they'd probably be ok), and are really only good on rails.

the 1260's have lots of pop, are probably heavier than the peps, and are pretty durable - the flex pattern allows for harder landings than the peps, but is still good enough for rails.

^ very good description, i agree.

the price of the 12's will not be significantly higher, if any, than the Pep's. they are very nice riding skis, and have been constanyly improved.
plus, they will have the 4x4 hole insert patetrn

i'm only 5'4' 120lbs and prolly won't grow anymore so if that helps at all....

your not going to grow any more?!?!?!!? wow. u need ghetto blaters. but 1260 r hella lighter than peps but u could go ither way on this. i would get 1260s if it was a park exclusive ski. but peps will probly last longer from rail abuse, thats what i would make my desition on personaly

go with the fujatives they atre more flexible butters , nose presses , etc. and have much more durable base and edges.
can you get an s.t.d. from a polar bear?

1260 in a 164 or 176 (personally, I'd go with the 164, but I'm maybe 20 pounds lighter than you).

Or (I know I say this alot), get the tweaks.

I don't get the whole nose-tail press thing for the fujatives, since i rarely ever see anyone even doing a nose or tail press.

BTW, go for the 1260s.

In my opinion, the super lightness of the 12's with the snappy poppy flex to them is perfect for the park, I have the 164s now (blue ones) which are waaayy to short for me, but next year I think I'm gonna get the 2003-2004 12's in 176 (yes, 176, there's a pair at the shop here).

If you can demo a pair that'd be the best too, you'll fall in love tho.

people say that the fujatives are not good for larger jumps but they are fine for me on jumps up to 70ft. i would go with the fujatives. they are cheaper and take a lot of abuse but still hold up

the reason you dont see people doing nose presses tail presses butters etc. is because they are herd and quite scary but that is beginning to change

i can do presses on my trouble makers no problem... id go with those. wait that wasnt an option....id say lines because they will warranty them for just about anything anytime.

I have skied both, and once again everyone seems to be wrong about the fujatives. They are (alot) fatter than the 1260, so if you plan to ride any pow than the fujative yould for sure the be the better choice. the buter point is only reachable if you go into a full nosepress, otherwise it is a stable ski. If you land switch way too far forward with your hands by the front of your skis alot, than the fujative isnt for you. The 1260 is a light ski, but seems to have alot of durability issues.

hmmmm personally i would go with the fujatives....the 12's yet such a sick ski i just dont get along with line...skis just seem to fall apart...ive warantied 2 pairs before and i shouldnt of had to...so yeah the fujative i rode a coupl runs and fell in love with them...but yeah both great skis...the 12's are built with a carbon ollieband for extra pop...as are the fujatives...so yeah im lost

get the 12's...the fujative is a nice ski, but their unique flex pattern means one thing...it gets played out quickly....the ski will lose its snap and flex pattern alot more quickly then a normal flexing ski, such as the 12, and u will be left with a rather 'dead' ski with not much pop

the 1260's include a carbon ollieband, basically prestretched carbon 'bands' that when flexed (of a jump, ect) they snap, creating more pop in the ski, something the fujative really lacks

as far as durability, lines really havent fallen apart like a 'line' for a few seasons now. I have three pairs and all ridden thorough, and their still holding up perfectly

thats just my opinion

id say get hte lines. you could destroy your skis in hte park and line has the best warranty
