quality fast offense and fast HITTING defence.. as opposed to, pussy ass offense and well i didn't know it was possible but even pussier defence.

the only thing i'll give the habs against the pens is that they actually managed to cycle the puck for more than 10 seconds. better than against washington, which is also another fucking choke show, im pretty sure they are the new san jose.

fucking habs.. my god anyone with a sense of hockey knows how shitty they play. im canadian, but when a team whose top line has 2 americans and your fans boo the american anthem, you can go fuck yourselves. the best outcome of that series was if both teams died in a freak shit tsunami.

It's funny that the two teams Montreal beat have more bandwagon fans than all the other teams combined.

and it's called be an awesome crowd. wait till the Habs are in the finals winning game 7, Montreal is going to just be the most amazing place to be. fore sure the best fan-base in the NHL

my buddy called me from downtown mtl last night, and i could barely hear him. he told me that people broke into a SAQ and a footlocker and stole a bunch of shit, he stole a 40 of whiskey and board shorts ahaha. he also said people were throwing bottles and shit at the cops and lighting shit on fire.

ya im not a fan of that kind of behavior but he told me that people broke into the stores and threw a bunch of shit outside and were acting like idiots, and all he did was pick that stuff up from the ground after they threw it out so at least he wasnt the one causing the ruckus(sp?). but ya i think the mtl crowd needs to settle down a little bit, cus if this keeps happening every time we win an important game, the cops and shit are gonna start being fuckin serious and we wont even be able to celebrate at all

lol sure. you didn't really talk about hockey in your original post either way.

lapierre is a joke during the regular season. he's almost as much of a goon as matt cooke, he talks a lot of smack for no reason, sure. BUT, during the playoffs, he changes his act around and he actually scores rather than hit everyone.

our fans aren't necessarily bandwagon hoppers... we didn't do well during the regular season so why riot and cheer on our habs that were just above 500? now what did the canadiens just do? well, we managed to eliminate the 1st (and 1st overall) and 4th place teams in our conference.

we faced being eliminated 5 times, yet we won all 5 and shut down the 2 biggest cup contenders in the east. gill, subban and gorges completely controlled ovechkin, semin, crosby, malkin and the list goes on. i find it funny how well crosby did against the sens, but he scored what? 2 goals in this series?

what else is there to say? don't know who you're a fan of and quite frankly i don't really care. so keep hating on the habs, it doesn't bother me because i know they deserve to be where they are.

lapierre, as much as he's scored a few lately.. still talks shit and is too much of a pussy to throw down, i'll give that he's a hard worker.. but a hard working pussy at that, the last time he dropped gloves he got his ass handed to him.

the fact that half of the montreal fans right now probably voted against them in the first series and are now cheering for them is the very reason why they are a piece of shit. as a true fan, and you seem like one, you know you live and die with your team.. i can't tell you how many habs fans chirped leafs fans back in the quinn days for being a bandwagon bunch. so sure, credit is due for what they have done.. but let's be fair here, a real fan is the fan that stuck through them when they were struggling to make 500, and i will hate on everyone who recently jumped.

subban is an awesome call-up, but lets be fair here.. goaltending won your playoff series. you've totally left out halak. when a team faces an average of more than 40 shots a night, there is something wrong with your defence. if your not willing to admit that, thats fine, but then i really don't know why you think a good defence team is.. because one that leaves all the work up to the goalie definitely is not.

to halak, hat's off.. to all you habs fans that just became, your a disgrace. i have habs fan friends who admit this. i hate because i have always hated the habs, and i always will.. just like im sure you have a team you hate, unless of course you don't actually watch hockey.

as for the fans who just "hopped on the bandwagon", just because half the fans said they didnt think the habs would pull off the W against the caps, doesnt mean they werent still cheering for them. and they just based those predictions on the habs' end of season which was not impressive at all, so i guess it made sense more than anything.

and yes, halak has been amazing, and you are acting as if this means they shouldnt be where they are. goaltending is a big part of the game, so if your goalie is hot, then its highly probable that you will go far

first of all, i wasnt including myself in that group of people, i've been a habs fan my whole life.

second of all, you misunderstood what i was saying. I was trying to say that yes, its true, most of the fans didnt think it was possible for them to beat the caps, but they were still cheering for them. even if you are cheering for a team, you are allowed to realize that the odds are heavily against you, and you will probably lose. they were simply predicting a certain result while hoping for a different one. so they didnt randomly just "become" fans out of the blue when they started winning, they were always fans but the odds were against us, so when answering the question "Do you think the habs will win against the caps?" they used logic and said no. thats all there is to it.
