Needed services involving macbook and GL2

i currently have an upgraded macbook that does not have a firewire port, my friend has a GL2 and we are trying to download video from a tape to my MAC. Someone please help me and the first person that gives me an answer that works will receive $5 via paypal. thanks

does gl2 not have a usb port? if it does just find a usb cable. or you could dowload it to another computer using firewire, transfer it to a portable hardrive, and then put the footage on your mac.

i hate to break it to you, but you need to use a firewire to capture. thats just the way the cookie crumbles and you have to deal with it. my suggestion is to do a bit of google research and find out what is best for you. I know there are adapters from usb to firewire, that is the only way i can think
