what school had it? they have a legit hotel/accommodations for such formal events.
if only they put that kind of money towards the actual fuckin mountain.

I wanna puke every time I think about the money they sank into that lodge......whatever keeps em afloat I guess. Now I hear they're charging for their mtn bike trails too, sorry I'll go ride the reservoir or south mountain thanks.

I had the chance to meet some of the management from Bear this past fall. It was pretty cool getting their perspective on the whole expansion into summer events and everything. From a business standpoint, it's the best thing they could have done for themselves. The expansion is more than paying for itself and has become incredibly lucrative. Unfortunately, I've been on the other side as well, wondering why the hell some of that money isn't going into the mountain. I guess you just have to realize that mountains of that size can only make so much money no matter how their run or how much money is thrown into improving them, it's all about running a business and making that money.

Enjoy the prom though man, I've heard their accommodations are pretty damn impressive.

i walked into the lodge the other day and saw the setup for a prom.  i was like wait people have proms here???  i had no idea and im here every day.

as far as more money going to the mountain there's really not that much more that can be done with what we have other than lighting, and fan gun automation.  of course there can always be more rails and stuff but i'll have that one covered in the next few weeks/months haha.

any suggestions hit me up.

yeah i think it's maybe 5 bucks?  (don't quote me on that though.)  the only reason why there's a charge is so that we can quantify legitimate interest. 

"Hikers and bikers are invited to use these trails free of charge during the spring and summer months." "Sign and submit our waiver, along with the register, at the Trail Head (located in parking lot 4) before using the trails. This helps us keep track of who is on the mountain and allows up to keep the trail access free."

That's strait off the BC website, did you guys go back to free or just haven't updated the website in 2 years??
