id like to say that i am not from the midwest. ice coast rep. but midwest skiers are dope! im sure they have all been killing it forever but this year i started to notice all of the sweet edits u midwestern skiers have been making. the park scene seems really sick and everyone slays on their mountains of 200ft vert.
good to hear this from an east coaster. usually, people from the east are complaining about theyre "lack" of snow, the weather, or something else ridiculous. meanwhile kids in the midwest are lapping 200-300vert of ice hitting janky ass rails and box setups.
this past year was my first year back in MN in 4 years and i was amazed and how hard kids were pushing themselves at under 200ft vert hyland hills. kids are so young and getting so good so fast.
someone post a picture of hyland at 4:30 on a weekday, or a sat afternoon. its fucking nuts. like 300 kids lapping the tiniest park at mach speed.
you gotta love this shit to keep at it in the midwest. While skiing REAL MOUNTAINS with REAL SNOW is epic, the midwest certainly has a unique vibe, you can make laps SOOOOO fast its not even funny. midwest is definitely fun. its sweet when you know everyone there, and can find people just by looking around, and see the entire resort, from just about anywhere.
Very dope some amazing skiing right there. Yeah even though you guys may have small mountains we got some here in the north east and even though there small you can still have fun with your buds.
