I know its no big deal but i got a speeding ticket sunday, going 11 over. So my advice is to drive slower!! they are a bitch to deal with and expensive ($175). I also have to attend a 4 hour defensive driving class so it doesnt go on my insurance. I know its painful to drive the speed limit but i think its worth it to drive like my mom. it costs less

fuck that. i will never slow down... despite the fact that i have. but none the less, get a radar detector and tell the cops to fuck off. if everyone does it, it will just become normal. but yeah, fuck slowing down.

I usually drive the speed limit or just over. I'm in no hurry to get most places. Driving under the speed limit just pisses me off though.

this could be another reason why canada is better, the cops actually dont care if your going 15 over the limit (from my law teacher). i dont think that i ever go slower than 20 over the limit and im driving right past radar guns. i think it has somthing to do with their paperwork.

I got out of a 36 over ticket because my dad knew the guy in the court! It was funny as hell. They liked talked small talk and then the guy just told me to plan better so I could drive normal speeds. I never did and never will slow down. I just got a valentine one detector and it saves my ass every time.

plus in canada you're talking about kilometers, not miles. 10 mph over is faster than 10 kmh over. i passed a cop doing 60 in a 30 going to my dads the other day. he got out and chased my ass down but i got to the vermont border before the fucker could pull my ass over. fuckin asshole.

That's still just 17-18 km/h faster. The ticket for that here is around $100, and our dollar is worth less too. Cops usually let that go here, unless it's a school zone. I pass cops going 10-15 km/h over all the time, never been pulled over. I passed a cop going 22 over the other day, and he let me go.

yeah, I know. tickets are a pain in the ass and not worth it. Just for speeding I've had 7. ended up getting my license suspended twice.

cops in ATL don't care about speeding. Most people go 15-20 over the speed limit. I go 10-15 over and my friend goes like 50 over all the time and never gets caught.

in cananda, as long as you keep it under 10 km/h over, you'll be fine, because the radars can't pick up the difference when it's that small. at the end of the month the cops get more strict about it cause they're trying to meet their quota. luckily i haven't gotten a speeding ticket so far, but if i did i'd be fucked, cause i'm on that probationary liscence system, so one discretion and i'll get my liscence suspended.

62 miles per hour is slow. ive been clocked at 70 on skis, so anything slower in a car is too slow.

yeah, the official speed limit here is 100 on major highways. In Ottawa at least, you're safe if you're doing 124 or less. If they're being strict, they might pull you over if you're doing more than 114 at night.

i always speed in ottawa, nobody seems to care. my friend and i were racing in a 60, going almost 120, and the cop gave us a look, nothing more.

however, the only ticket ive ever gotten was across the river in hull (quebec), for going in a lane where you need 3 people in your car; it was only psychic_skier and i, so the cop gave me a bloody ticket. i wanted my first ticket to be something hardcore, like dangerous driving or something. not a pussy ticket like that.
