well I like punk music normally but I am getting to be a fan of this. It is like hip hop but much better in my opnion. the singing is generally whispered so it sounds sort of dark and evil but it doesn't have to be. check out Massive Attack, Tricky, Portishead, Sneaker Pimps and more.
I would say the best by far is Massive Attack's Mezzanine
