this, you can usually judge if they have a pro bootfitter or some guy who also fits boots by the shop/ selection and how the guy is talking, if he doesnt measure your feet himself (especially if he goes off your shoe size) and get all the critical info then walk out, its not being rude its not wanting to waist your money or their time
