I'm spending 7 hours in Nassau, Bahamas. What should I do.

So, i'm flying out tomorrow night from SF to Florida - Nassau, Bahamas. I already have an idea of what i'm going to do, but, if any of you have been there, feel free to suggest away, with things I should do.

I will only have 7 or so hours to spend there on the ground... and what i've stone-planned to do will only take maybe an hour out of that time. I might meet a NSer down there, if all goes that way, but do any of you have a sweet idea of what to do other than go to the beach, drink bacardi, and whatnot?

How many of your 7 hours are during daylight?  I thought about doing the same thing, but it seemed like it'd be a waste to spend 8 hours in the dark in the Caribbean.  Even for $20.

8 hours? i would cause as much trouble as possible. just go crazy man. get trashed, eat everything you can find, and have sex with everything you can. just walk aorund telling people you will only be there for 8 hours.

Uhh, what tourist city have you ever gone too that didn't have a dope night life? I'm sure those Bahamanians get fucking crazy.

And DingoSean, if I were you I'd go there with no plan. Immerse yourself as deep as possible into the local culture.

Oh, I dont have much of a plan... my only stone-set plans are buy a bahama flag (i buy flags from each country i visit) and mail myself a postcard... then drink the local beer, and eat the local delicacy.. (which in this case is conch fritters).

Other than that... all is total fair game. Bring on the BahaMANIACALS!

1)Dont pack any clothes so you have no wait for baggage
2)As soon as you get there buy a bottle of Bacardi since its made there
3)Drink
4)Go to Atlantis resort
5)Gamble a few dollars in their casino, it is amazing, huge, and for the most part sunny
6)Bet five dollars on number 8 in roulette
7)Leave, while drinking
8)Dont get pick pocketed in the straw market, they are very good
9-20) Do random shit in the town, like find a giant turtle, find a snake, find someone with the same name as you, completely random shit all while drinking of course
21)Try to find mini-golf
22)Eat Caribbean cuisine
23)Stumble back to airport
24)fly home
25)wait till jet blue has the same promotion and repeat

The Bacardi distillery Bahamas is located in Nassau, and can be coupled nicely with other attractions in Nassau.

Bacardi is mainly made in Bermuda, at least according to Wikipedia, however they have a factory in Nassau, making it very cheap to buy in the Bahamas, at least last time I was there.

Its all good, shoulda been more specific

also i started researching it, and cant find a legit article on it, but apparently they closed their doors to that factory either last month, two years ago, or in 1944.  The Bahama websites suck haha.  Even that being the case, I just remember it being mad cheap a few years back (when i thought the factory was still opened, considering i went there haha but according to the internet it might have been closed)

All in all, it still should be cheap, so drink up!

I've been to the city in question... word of advice, rent a moped. much more fun to get around on, yea what else has been said (straw market, cable beach) is fun its pretty touristy, go check it out if you wanna get hassled, otherwise personally I would just kinda cruise the coast, get some less tracked beach area, maybe drink after a nice chill sesh... i dunno bro, don't plan just go with what feels right

I don't know if you travel a lot, but plane tickets are insanely expensive. If I had known about this I would have made the most of it, but alas I had school and a lacrosse game so I didn't.

If you have enough time you should try to do some scuba diving at Stuarts Cove. One of the best diving spots on the island. One of the greatest experiences of my life

this. was on a cruise and we walked the beach and snuck straight into atlantis. everyone staying at the resort has wristbands but it's pretty easy to blend in. dope city too. just patrol around and see the sites. buy some diamonds or something haha
