Damn, wish I didn't have finals.....It would cost more in gas for me to get to the nearest airport than the 19 dollar flight to Bermuda......Yeah 19 dollars I could be in Bermuda, then 168 on the way back if i stayed for a few nights....so under 200 roundtrip to Bermuda!?!

Do it!  150 for a day trip in a sense to St Maarten!  You won't need a hotel, just hang out all night, sleep on the plane!

Leaving tomorrow at 630am... getting there at 9am... hanging out with friends if they call me back.. crashing.. hopefully partying a bit... or just kicking it... then kicking it all day wednesday... and then flying home that night.

2 days in LA? for 20 bucks? its going to cost me more for the taxi from the airport...

just plugged in my car to a calculator online, it will cost me 28.75 cents to get to the nearest airport to fly jetblue, then another 28.75 to come home.  Thats more than your whole trip :(

So. I traded in my tickets to long beach... for tickets from SF to the bahamas. 40$ base fair.

I dont have anyone to go with yet but... i'm going to the bahamas... spending 7 hours there... and flying home... for super cheap...

how on earth are you gonna have 7 hours on the ground?

i do this kinda thing quite a bit (fly somewhere for the day) and getting flights lined up so you have that much time on the ground is really really hard.

Last time I was there (two years ago) beer was very expensive, except for two kinds, the local kind, and Heineken, which were 2 for 1 dollar american (cans)
mixed drinks vary, some were really cheap, like 1-2 dollars while others were very very expensive. really depends on where you go, for example a night club with all tourist will be very expensive.  Also, what island are you going to?

i'd arrive there at 10am wednesday. flight out of nassau is at 630pm... so i'd get back to the airport at like 5 for my flight.

so i just figure 7 hours or so once i land.

to everyone taking advantage of a 1 or 2 day trip, you'll prob remember it as much as you remember other vacations or trips you've taken in your life.  spontaneity is the best thing

redeye from SF-florida... then fly from ft lauderdale to nassau at like 6 or 7am... get there at 9.

then back the same exact way... get back in SF waaay early the next day.

freaking gnarly man... hahaha. its going to be soo much jetlag.

I now have my trip mostly planned..

fly there.. 30$ taxi to downtown nassau... mailing myself a postcard, buying a bahamas flag if i can find one, having a conch fritter, and the local beer... and i'm going to kick it on the beach and check things out and whatnot. SICK...
