lets discuss how awesome bruce springsteen is. im not too huge on the genre of classic rock or whatever. maybe its just because i was born in jersey. nebraska is an untouchable record.

I think Bruce Springsteen is lame. I hate how he caters specifically to a certain class of people with his music. Everything he does is to cultivate his "working man, lower-middle class" image.

Which is why I call Bob Dylan my captain

Born and raised on the BOSS.  he's been pumping out the best music for a long time and shows no signs of stopping.

not a huge fan of the nebraska album..  to depressing and dark for me, possilby cuz i'm from the midwest...

Granted he isn't the greatest singer, but neither was Hendrix, and certainly not Axel. I find Dylan's singing to be remarkably cathartic after listening to him for a while. It's subtle, but the emotion is there. Technically, he could obviously never be an American Idol, but who listens to that shit anyway? Mick can't sing, jimi can't sing, Morrison can't sing, Lou Reed can't sing, Ian Curtis couldn't sing, Dave Gilmour couldn't really sing....
