So like many of you, I just downloaded the trial version of photoshop CS5. The thing I was most excited to use was Content Aware Fill. After watching those previews of it on youtube, I actually thought it was magic. After using it, I have realized that yes, it is fucking awesome, but you can't use it everywhere and you need to do some work your self. It works best if there is something you want to remove that is surrounded by a lot of the same stuff. This is because it just takes little bits of everything around it, and blends it into the spot you choose. After finding one of my pictures from my season that was good to try it, I got to work. I finished with a completely different image in less then the time it took to write this thread. The content aware is awesome if you find the correct spot. BUT, don't expect to press content aware and be done. I find that there tended to be a white line around the filled area and it wasn't always the cleanest. This was easily fixed with some clown stamping. In conclusion, Content Aware is pretty damn sweet. To be honest, it is just like a really smart clone stamp that does that work for you, but still awesome and saves a lot of time.
Now for what my pictures turned out like!
Here's the original.
