No, there's nothing wrong with it. So why would they have to learn english to move somewhere where there isnt a national language act? Sure.. Alabama and other states have them... but for the states that dont? you can't complain...
As for california not being an example for things that are positive? What about california do you see as negative? Is it that we have the biggest, most diverse economy in the nation? or the fact that we have the largest and most divirse population in the nation?
Hmm... not sure what you're on about there mr South Dakota...
yeah... it wont last long...
The only reason it passed was because of overwhelming bullshit that religious institutions (especially the LDS church) paid for... with really ridiculous ads saying that gay marriage is going to hurt our kids and make them turn gay and they turned it into something that it's not.. and dumbed down the population. It was utter BS for sure. And yet it still only passd like 51%-49%. It will be back on the ballot in the future... no doubt about that...
Lol. Nobody's EXPECTING the USA to cater to them...
And a high percentage of Germans know English... So theyre already catering to the US, and the rest of the english speaking world...
yeah... i dont remember the exact money that went toward prop 8, but my god it was an astronomically high number... and like 50% of the people protesting in the street were not californians, and about 95% of them were white...
Sorry for the threadjack, but here's just an example of what i mean when it comes to the bullshit that was spewed with that. haha.
