17 yr old kid tasered for running on field at phillys game

so as many of you know a phillies fan was tasered the other day for running on the field...do you think this is just or unjust?

that's downright terrible. Normally i tend to side with the police, but in this case....it just saddens me. The man was frustrated, nervous, and in a completely new area, and must've been scared. Poor guy.

As for the phillies kid....well, thats what happens. I work security at a professional baseball stadium, and going on the field is an absolute no-no. Even employees of the club aren't allowed on it without approval from higher ups. Once you step on it, you are trespassing, and they will do whatever they need to in order to remove you.

The taser may have actually spared this kid some trouble. I've seen the way cops/security take people down normally, and its pretty much a beatdown.

he broke the law, and was evading a police officer. maybe this will teach those jackasses to stay off the field, and stop interrupting the game i payed good money to watch.

we talked about this in class the kid callex his dad right before he did it His dad was watching the game at home and didnt think it was a good idea and then he got to see his son tased on tv

They just did it to a drunk guy at the 2nd round of golf the other day. I personally think it's JUST. They did not make them just to sit on the belt of an officer, everyone flips when proper circumstances are used. A guy pulls a gun out during an arrest and the officers opens fire, then everyone thinks the cop could have done something differently. But if the cop were to get shot, it would raise questions like, "Why didn't the cop open fire on him?". So what if the kid got shocked, he broke rules, and there are consequences for that. Did they kill him? Nope. Next time make sure your 17yr old son can read before going to a game.

they fucked up because they didn't have a translator on scene. but that guy flipped the fuck out and in a situation like that, tasering is appropriate. they have no idea what his deal is just as much as he has no idea. now doing it 5 times is really over the line. only time they should have to shoot more than once is if they're still resisting.
