A quick word on blocking ads

I know if i click on there name i can clikc view message exchange, but what happened to where i could click messages and there was just a list of all the messages i'd gotten in the last 12 months?
the problem is i get a message click decide to not to reply then, then all of a sudden i forget who sent the message and i have no logical way of remembering or finding who sent it??
please help, this feature on NS used to be so much simpler.!!
