No Firewire

ok so i recently bought a new macbook and there is no firewire cable port. i was wondering how am i supposed to get footage from say a cannon gl2.. does anyone know?

Yes. If you have:

is it just a regular macbook? or a pro? my pro has firewire but it's the old version so i had to buy a converter.
