All these skis breaking...

Everyone seems to having problems with the new skis this year and last year and i was just thinking...I just got new 171 1080s and rode them for half the season but I still use my original yellow 177 1080s from 2000 and they are still in perfect condition. From casing tables to diastering rails, they have remained unbroked for all these years. I think those were some durable skis and I am going to keep them going as long as possible.

every year we hear about people with broken skis, theyre all well made skis(at least for the most part), its just that people dont make threads called 'my skis didnt break this season.' if you were to take a poll to see how many people's skis actually did break this year, then im sure that the percentage would be very small.
also your 1080s are bombproof, the older ones were made very strong, just they get soft relatively quickly cause the foam core.

My 00-01 skogens are in good condition, just a few nicks on top. Granted I haven't skiied a huge amount of days on them, but I have done some rather dumb stuff, and they keep on rockin'. I'm thinking about selling mine also in favor of some longer skis.

depends on your skill, if you're good you might hit things harder, but you would know what you're doing better than some one who's trying to hit things hard, and ends up fucking things up

I bet pros dont break as many skis as one may think... They know how to land and get new skis more than you or I.
