This is an open invite to the first Longboard 518 Parking Garage event. It starts around 8:00 pm on Saturday May 15th. I'm hoping to have 20+ people, so invite all your friends and family to come tear this garage apart. From personal experience, the more the better, so let's see how big we can get this event.
Directions: The lot is on Broadway street in Schenectady, right off of state street. Its across from Bowtie cinemas and is built for proctors theater. It is directly behind Ville Italia Cafe and is hard to miss.
Once you enter the garage, look for the elevator, its in the back right corner. Now don't park on this first level, but go up to the next level. Park near the elevator, you should see signs saying you are between levels 2 and 3.
Take the elevator to the top, and you'll see us up there.
*When in the elevator, you should start at level 2, and take it up to 5. Once again, skating down to level 2. Levels below 2 have a lot of large speed bumps and generally hold more car traffic*
Tips: The garage has a lot of large cracks, so be ready to bend you knees and take the cracks, its not a super smooth road but its not gravely. Bring your soft/big wheels. There are also speed bumps so be wary of these.
Suggestions: Bring helmets and gloves, although I won't require any they are recommended. I've seen some nasty falls from my friends going 30mph, and even some bad ones at 10mph. Just a suggestion.
Legality: I'm not quite sure about the legality of this, but i'm pretty positive we won't run into trouble. I've skated here before and seen a lot of cops and security and no one has said anything so far. Lets try keep it this way, this means no littering and no asshats.
All times are Eastern (-5)
