there used to be a show on TBS called "Worst Case Scenario" with the exact same plot. I remember watching it before, Mike Rowe was actually famous.

i've met les stroud. hes the real deal badass, but a nice guy. loved his show but now hes making a gay survival show with a bunch of pussy ass little kids that i saw while i was in whistler. I guess it only airs in Canada. Good thing too, i dont wanna see that shit in the U.S.

if you look beyond the show, bear is much more badass. He was in the SAS which is impressive as shit, and climbed everest at age 23, 18 months after breaking his back.

Watch escape to the legion. I'd love to see les get through that. Even bear barely made it through.

Bear Grylls is the new Chuck Norris.

Les Stroud is more concerned about cooking cute little meals for himself consisting of plants and if hes lucky some meat.

Bear Grylls is out biting the heads off snakes, shanking wild bores, tearing into live salmon with his teeth, and pulling porcupines from their holes 10 feet underground.

Plus the man slept inside a fuckin camel for christ sake...

Les Stroud actually survives, Bear can take risks that would probably kill someone who was actually trying to survive. I would know to eat grubs from a dead tree because of Les, I would probably try and jump off a cliff into a 2 foot pool because of Bear.

True. There's also times where his camera crew has to do some crazy shit to follow him. There was one episode where they were in some giant underground river. The whole crew had to go through a completely submerged tunnel along a rope to get to the continuation of the river on the other side.

bear's isn't so much a survival show as it is entertainment and worst case scenario. Just look at the way many of his episodes start. Why the fuck would you have a parachute with you in a glacier? Anyone who takes what either of these shows say as being complete truth about survival is an idiot. I prefer watching bear though, because his show is entertaining. I watch survivorman too, but then i get sick of hearing les complain about everything until his ride out shows up.

But i reiterate, watch Bear in "Escape to the Legion" It's ridiculous what he went through on that show. Much better than a survival show.

Les is a pussy. His show is boring as fuck. Man Vs. Wild is extremely entertaining and fun to watch.

Just watch some of the things Bear does, and tell me he is not the man.

Les does more stuff that most people would see if they were just trying to survive, but bear does more extreme life threatening situations.

Bear pretends that he does shit that you would do if you needed to survive, with shtiloads of safety crew around and he sleeps in a holiday inn whilst pretending to be surviving in the wild.

Les goes into the middle of nowhere by himself and films the whole thing alone and survives for a week.


If you have a short attention span and like watching a cunt run around and give himself enemas then sure Bear is great, otherwise, Les = win.
