So a buddy of mine is hanging up his carving sticks and wants to get something a bit more like what I ride and you guys ride.
I've been hucking fat skis for a while so it's like watching a beginner ski - you think @What's stopping them just opening up and fall line@. I don;t want to recommend something I'd be a happy with because to me a 120mm is fine even.
So what bridging ski do you recommend that will take him from carving 12m turns to something that will allow him to ski powder when it comes (European skier), will still hold an edge on the hardpack, and will plow through crud, nothing too tiff, nothing too flexible.
No park skis (though I was considering the Amplid C7 might be a good choice and something for him to work up too).
I was thinking a Legend, but something a bit more unique would be nice.
