had to go to school, but my spanish party was LEGIT. Jack in the box tacos, taquitos, the most amazing queso dip ever, homemade brownies, multiple homemade cakes, just all around amazing. and it was a half day.

I did actually make it to the bar to drink some coronas. I'm pretty fucked up even though I've been drinking water for 2 hours.

yes they do. It was a very big day for them. Most think it is Mexican independence day, which is completely wrong. Thats September 16th. Cinco de Mayo is actually the day that they beat the french army. According to the Mexicans  work with, everyone celebrates for like a week

I don't get it. Why do Americans care about Cinco de Mayo?

Yesterday I asked some people why they were celebrating yesterday and the vast majority of responses were, "To celebrate Mexican Independence!"
