alright real quick, im headin up to tuckermans ravine next weekend i think, do you really need crampons to hike the headwall? anyone whos done it?

I haven't done it yet, but i'm gooing up the end of April. Crampons are not needed, most people do not use them but they would be handy. A moutaineering axe would be good for self-arresting too. Do you ski or board? I think boarders would have a much harder time hikeing since they can't kick their toe in. Anyways have fun and watch for cravases.
