Replying to Canon 7D

Lately I've been contemplating getting a new camera, and after seeing the image and video quality of the Canon 7D, that is probably my first choice. I have never had a DSLR of my own before, but my sister has Rebel T1i and my dad has the 50D and I am very comfortable using both these cameras. I know the price is fairly high for my first DSLR ($1700.00) which is why I'm contemplating getting the rebel T2i, but the 7D is definitely my camera of choice. So, for those of you who have or have used a 7D before, any advice or recommendations would be great.
