if i wouldve looked for my landing i wouldve atleast got my body around, but i blanked out on the lip and totallt forgot everything i had to do.

landed backseat on my first one, do them into foam pit on skates first or on a tramp.

i could do switch backflips into poles off the side of the pool. i dont have a tramp or foam pit and mt parents wont let me get a tramp so im screwed

my first i landed on my head. But really, backs are easier then 3s and 5s for me. Once u get em, they are super easy.


I got suspended for taking my pants off in class. The catholic school board really frowns upon it. - skierdudeguy

yeha i tried my first last spring on an icy hip jump with chewed out landing I landed on my head anyway my face lookined funny for a little while

hear is the best tip for backs, DONT DO THEM learn rodeos or corks. If you relly want to try an invert do loops.

^ I dunno kno about that dude on the loops.......most people kno what a lincoln is but they are confused on how to throw it sidesways. I saw a kid this weekend try to do one and he just stopped in mid air......ok they really arent hard but I mean I think for him it would hav been a lot more straight forward for em to do a backflip or frontflip.

i say dont do back cuse they arent relly newschool trick, and kinda high risk. They are easy as fuck once you do them but the first few trys may not be worth it.

the first time i tried one on skis was this little snowmobile tow-in we had. I did it first try....flat landing though.

Please search backflip. This is asked a million times. Or go into the tricks thing under inverts and look up the DEFINITION way to do one that everyone uses under the 'straight outta high north' paragraph.

my first time i stuck into about two feet of powder. its about 3 months later now and im onto back 3s, and back 180s with grabs. i actually saw a guy this weekend at horseshoe land his backflip third try then go for a 180 and stick it about an hour later

I have only tried it twice and both times were in the backcountry with about 3 feet of powder. I havn't got the confidence to hit do it in the park....i probably never will

my first one was just off this natural hip thing like most of te jumps on my mt and i landed on my chest and was like that was fun and went back up and tryed it again and did the same thing but hit my head hard and that was the last run so i went home then went up the next day and did them every run the whole day and now yaa there easyer than 360's

my first try my skis tore right through the jump and i landed straight on my head. we fixed the jump and the second try i almost got around but my tips caught the ground right before i landed. the third try i knew how i had to set my rotation and i stomped it. i've never even done a back off a tramp or diving board.

from everyone who has replied, like half tried it and fucked up, and half stuck it on first or second try...who knows i might try one this weekend, i can do them easily on tramps, but skis, boots, and bindings put a lot of weight on you...i guess it wouldnt be that bad...
