Beat/Dubstep software for Mac?

I have a Mac and would like to get into making beats, I really suck at making beats on garageband when I try and most software that's downloadable is for PC, it can't cost money and needs to be on the computer. If anyone could give me a quick run-down of how to make beats on Garageband, or give me a good software. +K for good software and help.
